About Us:

Lycee VTE means Lycee de Vientiane.  We named it after an old school in Vientiane, Laos.  The school name was changed to Oudom Vientiane in early 1976 under the new government. Regardless of its name, we were there and at this school we were friends. We shared so many fun times and at the same time we also shared the sadness. Best of all we shared part of our teenager life at this school.

From 1975 to early 1980’s, many of our friends had left Laos.  Most of us settled in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Thailand… and some went on with their study in Vietnam, the Soviet Union, East Germany and other countries. We were separated….At that time we knew it was impossible to meet again.

Many years has passed, a small group of friends started to look for each other and the 1st reunion was occurred in Portland, Oregon on July 5th, 2005.

Our goal is to bring our friends to reconnect to each other again and to build our relationship to be as tight as we were at Lycee or at Oudom Vientiane.

Many of us envision that one day we will have a very good organization that we can offer back to our community such as: offer the scholarship to younger generation, funding for family in need, sponsor and support other organizations such: Lao Heritage foundation, Lao Cultural and so on.

We were very proud to go to this school. What we learned from this school was part of our success today…. we can never forget it!!!
